July/August Recap
We have been busy behind the scenes, so we haven't sent a blog update for two months!
The big news is that we produced our first Education Panel, designed for high school performance studies students, “Act Creation for Contemporary Circus”. It's a 90 minute practical and inspirational panel including act videos, and devising exercises, from leading international contemporary circus directors, Mike Finch and Deb Batton from Australia, and Victoria Amedume from the UK. It can be broken down into three 30 minute sections featuring each director. Contact us for more info, or if you are interested in purchasing this for your students...And contact us if you are interested in commissioning your own panel or practical video featuring international circus creators. We are happy to create something especially for you.
Since starting our monthly panel discussion calendar, we have held two panel discussions, both now available to watch for free on Facebook - Creating Circus in Unconventional Spaces, and Focus on Australia - Young Artists Imagine the Future. You can also watch them on our website video page.
As we announced recently, Victoria Amedume, featured on our Education Panel, has joined as one of our featured creators. She also chaired our panel discussion on Intercultural Collaboration, which you can watch for free on facebook and on our website.
